What is the “Placements” tab?

The Placements tab is a tab that shows on your magic link when Novu.Link finds your link shared on external websites. It’s an easy way for you to see where on the web your link appears.

It will also show you physical locations, such as “QR Code”.

Each placement has a “last confirmed” time, which is the last time that Novu.Link checked and was able to find your magic link at the given source. If able, Novu.Link will check back on your placements regularly (up to a couple of times a week) to see if your magic link is still there. If it is, it will update the “last confirmed” date.

If your magic link does not get any scans or clicks in 2 or more weeks, Novu.Link will no longer check the placements for validity. To re-activate the process, your magic link must be either scanned using the QR code, or clicked on if you copied the magic link.

Why do I not see a “Placements” tab on my Magic Link?

The placements tab only appears when your magic link has been found to be used in multiple places.

What does “Unable to confirm” mean?

In a digital placement where Novu.Link is no longer able to confirm the webpage where the magic link was presented, a “Unable to confirm” badge will appear. This may mean that the placement website is broken, the page no longer exists, or something else prevents Novu.Link from checking that your magic link is still there.

What is a “Physical placement”?

A physical placement represents a placement in the physical world, as opposed to the digital one. An example of this is a QR code.
